I picked up Byron Katie book "Loving What Is" and randomly opened it and started reading one of the pages. I heard all about it from the girls in my Philosophy group, they all raved about it, I suddenly had a illuminating moment. I had lost a lot of money in a venture in the Canary Island of Tenerife with a good friend (not so good now). I suddenly realized with the 4 questions you ask that it was MY CHOICE no one had actually forced me to do anything from handing money over or simply staying there when I became AWARE of some unpalatable facts like my friend was doing drugs and all her surrounding friends were as well. I should have chosen to RUN LIKE THE WIND, but I chose to stay for 3 months.
Another thing I realized was that I had never liked the island of Tenerife, my intuition had always been telling me this, I chose to ignore it. I had spent a lot of time there, on one of the Airtours cruise ships I had been based out of there. The north of the island, the mountains are beautiful, one lovely Belgian lady an interior decorator, the only one that resonated with me, showed me the beauty of the north and the island. She even taught me how to do a mosaic mirror and how to do jewelry, lovely lessons I learnt. I returned to Tenerife several times more working on board a cruise ship, but what a lovely feeling of freedom as I would sail from there.
Choice you make effects your life in My World
I worked through my lifetime and all the bad memories and good and thought about all the choices I made, also I used the 4 questions and turned it around from relationships, where one guy did not trust me enough to believe me, I realized it was me that never trusted him. This is a very useful book for all your problem in life.
Some of the lessons I learnt from my Choice in My World
I was also given Gary Zukav books on Soul Stories, brilliant book as well, so inspiring, he talks about the 5 senses and your intuition.
The lessons I have learnt are TRUST your intuition, be aware that you make the CHOICE in life, not someone else, you can shift your energy very quickly by simply changing your thought.
I discovered this little book in a secondhand bookstore called Labyrinths & Mazes of South Africa by Marielle Renssen. I put it down then ended up going back to pick it up, I guess it follows on from my fascination with Sacred Geometry. I then went on a retreat in the Karoo and there was a labyrinth on this olive farm near Vanwyksdorp, it is in the book as well. I then did one at Clovelly, Joanna Castle labyrinth of indigenous grasses, it was slightly overgrown when I did it, but in the book it says that it is one of the grids of energy meridians. Quite fascinating really…
Another of these Labyrinths in My World
Now I have just walked another Labyrinth at Bodhi Kaya (a Buddhist retreat venue) also on a retreat, this one was so amazing with all these little worms, you really had to concentrate not to step on them, they were sunbathing or really eating all the succulents. The outside had all kinds of lavender; the inner circle had these gorgeous vibrant orange flowers. There were all little lizards whizzing in and out of the labyrinth into the flowers and butterflies as well, of course some bees busy working away getting there pollen.
My World and the carry on with the Labyrinths
So I will make it my mission to do more of these Labyrinths in the book, work my way through them, amazingly in Cape Town there are quite a lot. The book also talks about Table Mountain energy and that the nodal point of the ley lines form a 3m eight petal flower. So my journey continues with the Labyrinths.
I am reading Robin Sharma’s Discover Your Destiny with the Monk who Sold his Ferrari; I have read the earlier original book brilliant concepts for changing your life. In this book he talks about the movies the Matrix, I was thinking oh I got to get this out from the video shop but then later it came to me that I probably have it right under my nose and if I only took a look it would be there. Yes I did have it, like so many other things I have found they are right under my nose. How many other things in life have I missed like this by not realizing it was right here?
Anyway back to the Matrix, he says its one of the best Philosophy movies every made, did I look at it with different eyes at this time of my life. I like the one with the red and blue pill and it’s all up to you with your choices, living as you have always lived or step up to your biggest life. Wow, pretty powerful really, also how we buy into the perception of how things are meant to be, by our parents, teachers, and how wrong it really is or how untrue this is. We are all destined for bigger things in life as long as we tap into it.
I then found this book Water Logic by Edward de Bono, my sister mentioned to me, I loved Dr Emoto’s The Secret Life of Water and I had seen a movie on water by Russian scientist. In the Water Logic he talks about the perception we all have say you see a house and how we all have different thoughts or perceptions. I have only started reading it but it looks quite brilliant about rock logic and water logic, water is always flowing if we could get life to flow likes this it would be brilliant.
The Truth in My World with ear
Another great little find is a book by Swami Venkatesananda, “Living Meditation”; it starts with this I will put a small excerpt in.
When I have learned what it is to learn, then it is possible to look at the question itself and find the answer. It is quite easy. What do you find common in these two words, ‘hear’ and ‘learn’? EAR. There is an ear in the word ‘hear’ and there is an ear in the word ‘learn’. So I must find the ear, which hears, not the ones on the side of my face. This is a piece of flesh, and in spite of the fact that they are kept ever open by the Creator, we often close them inwardly. The heart of the word ‘heart’ is also ear; the very soul of the heart is ear. So hearing is not done by this hole in the side of your face, but hearing is really done by the heart. If I know how to hear with my heart then I learn. The learning ear is in the heart.
Beautiful in its TRUTH......
